June Integration

I spent last weekend planting flowers and veggies, which got me focused on the importance of roots. Before a plant can flourish above the soil, it first establishes connections below it. Strong roots provide stability, nourishment, and the foundation for growth. June's theme, integration, will explore a similar process in our yoga practice.

Integration brings the body, breath, and mind into a more connected conversation, which we'll explore through core-focused movement. When I say "core," I'm referring to the full trunk of the body from which our balance, stability, breath, and coordination originate. Rather than attempt to work any muscle groups in isolation, our movement practices will consider the entire core as an integrated whole, from which we’ll learn to move with more steadiness, clarity and ease.

Here’s the schedule and details for classes in June:

Focused Flow Yoga (60 minute class): Sundays at 9:00am Eastern - Functional alignment, breath awareness and slow, Vinyasa-style flow come together in this welcoming class, with an emphasis on building strength, improving mobility and supporting a deeper connection to Self. Mindful Momentum Yoga (30 minute class): Thursdays at 7:30am Eastern - Simple mobility work and subtle strengthening pairs with breath and meditation to help start the day with intention and energy. Join as part of the Online Membership or purchase a drop in pass. There will be no class on June 18.

Extending Your Practice (90 minute class): Sunday, June 14 at 11:00am IN PERSON at Yoga with Love, Loch Arbour - This monthly workshop-style practice is full of inspired sequencing and thoughtful cueing with time to explore the nuance of familiar poses and ample space for rest.
